For your employees to respect you, you have to respect them. Respect is a two-way street, and when one party does not give it they shouldn’t expect the other to reciprocate with something different. Some ways you disrespect your employees are is pointing out their problems in the front of consumers, not listening to their opinions and recognizing their achievements. You should also show concern for what is happening in their personal lives. When they tell you their kid was sick, find out if they got better. Show that you care and check with them frequently to find out how things are going.
